Northcote High School’s Literary TalkFest is back! Last year’s inaugural TalkFest, on the theme of Writing Women, was a sold out success. In 2016, a panel of Australia’s finest writers discuss the topic: Writing Men. Come and join award-winning author and NHS parent, Clare Wright, talk with 2015 Stella Prize winner, Emily Bitto; Steven Carroll and Christos Tsiolkas about how male perspectives and experiences are captured in literature. How is masculinity constructed? Is the male voice normative? Is there such a thing as a female gaze?
